Welcome to all students, parents, and guardians!
My name is Olivia Sandoval. I am a registered nurse with a bachelor of science in nursing.
I am writing to introduce myself as the new school nurse here at Jamaica Elementary School. I have over ten years of experience in the medical field. I have held positions in the Intensive Care Unit, surgical intensive care unit, and Emergency Room. My primary focus has been critical care for pediatrics and adults. I look forward to sharing my experience and knowledge with the students, staff, and community.
As your school nurse, I am responsible for monitoring your child’s health and safety in the school setting throughout the year. My goal is to maintain the highest level of health for each student and provide a rewarding school experience. I am right there beside you when it comes to concerns for our children’s health in school. I have three children that will be joining the Lake Havasu Unified School District and attending Jamaica Elementary. I approach my nursing practice with the attitude of “What would I do if this were my child?” and I want to assure you that your children’s health and safety are my top priority. I am certain I will love being a school nurse and working with our K-6 students.
I will be posting resources to support your families here on the “Nurse’s Nook”.
Please contact me with school health questions and concerns. I look forward to caring for your children and promoting wellness.
Olivia Sandoval RN, BSN
